The FFDys brings together 7 national associations and their 150 branches throughout France, dedicated to specific language and learning disorders, in particular dyslexia, dysphasia, dyspraxia. Composed of volunteers, the FFDys has been working for over 20 years to make known and recognize “Dys” disorders, with the aim of improving the care and educational and professional integration of children and adults. Since 10/10/2006, the FFDys has organized the National Day of Dys every year. Supported by a scientific committee made up of researchers, practitioners and experts in education and health, the Federation is the interlocutor recognized by the public authorities, which has led to significant advances in the recognition and management of cognitive disorders.

The FFDys is a member of the Agreement Committee of Representative Associations of Persons with Disabilities and Parents of Children with Disabilities, sits on the National Consultative Council for Persons with Disabilities (CNCPH), on the board of the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA) , to the National Council for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (TND), and member of the European Dyslexia Association (40 organizations in 24 countries in Europe).
